Ziggurat interactive reviving bloodrayne

Newly formed retro game publisher Ziggurat Interactive announced that it has obtained a series of intellectual property licenses from now-defunct publisher Majesco Entertainment. These have features like Advent Rising, Flip's Twisted World, Raze's Hell, and BloodRayne.

The Colorado-based publisher got rejuvenated in March with a mission to breathe new life into the vintage franchise and bring it to the modern platform. So far, you have an extended library of over 200 IPs.

The first resurrection treatment was BloodRayne. For most of the two years (probably the best), with the exception of a few unfortunate derivatives, BloodRayne is making a comeback. Ziggurat announced that it will cooperate with the original developer of the third-person shooter Terminal Reality to release an updated and optimized PC version "to improve compatibility and provide various enhancements."

Ziggurat owner Wade Rosen explained: "BloodRayne is a much loved team with a huge fan base. We are so grateful for the opportunity to be the manager of this wonderful series. Players around the world remember BloodRayne too much. and Advent With games like Rising, the opportunity not only to bring these games to a new audience, but to expand their world is something we take seriously. We are so excited to have the opportunity to visit one of our favorite gaming series and bring it back Offer to new audiences. "

When you think back to the early 2000s, BloodRayne didn't come to the fore. This is a fast-paced, third-person horror shooter game. The protagonist is an overly sexy half-vampire whose mission is to brutally destroy the Nazis and fight supernatural evil in a "vast global story." Classic and memorable formulas from the early 2000s, we thank God. Ziggurat curiously called it "a true cross-media phenomenon." It derived a film that was also unique from mediocre Uwe Boll.

In a press release, Ziggurat explained that he is also looking to "further explore and expand" the BloodRayne universe, meaning that a new version may appear somewhere.

Ziggurat seems to believe that the updated version of BloodRayne will have an audience, but we don't. It will be interesting to see how this turns out.
