Discord and all of its files take up relatively little space on your hard drive, well under 100MB even at the time of writing. Despite this, sometimes it is still necessary to remove Discord from the computer's hard drive, either because the file you want to reinstall is corrupted or because you feel like it needs to cool down for a while and the temptation of the application is too great. Luring you in to play with your friends, or some other equally valid reason!

Next, we will show you the simple steps required to uninstall the Discord application from your PC. If you want to go further and delete the remaining files on the hard drive, even after uninstallation, there are some additional steps at the bottom that tell you how to do it. Chapter

Let's Continue!

This stage is very simple, you just need to uninstall Discord like any other software application on your computer.

The start menu is located in the lower left corner of the desktop. Open it by clicking the Windows button there, and a pop-up window with a search bar should appear at the bottom.

If you type "programs and features" in the search bar at the bottom, it should appear in the list above. Click it.

A window should appear with a list of the various programs installed on the computer. Find Discord in the list (if you're trying to choose it, you can use the search bar in the upper-right corner), click on it to highlight it, and then click the uninstall button at the top of the window. The system may ask you to confirm whether you want to uninstall the software; in this case, click "OK".

You no longer need to do this. In fact, if you plan to reinstall Discord again, you may want to keep the remaining files on your computer so that you can restore it more quickly. However, if you want to successfully remove Discord from your system, follow the steps below.

The file in question is usually hidden by default in Windows. To display all files, first open a new window in File Explorer, then click the View tab at the top. You are looking for checkboxes to show hidden items or hidden files and folders. This may vary depending on the version of Windows you are using. Check the box.

Now we have to navigate to the hard disk where Discord is installed in File Explorer and click on the following:

Users> [your user account name]> AppData> Local

In the folder Local, you will find one The discord of the folder. Delete this.

Finally, we have to repeat the previous steps, but for the Roaming folder. After entering the correct hard drive, click the following:

users> [your user account name]> AppData> Roaming

In the Roaming folder, you will find another Discord folder. Delete it and go!
