Not sure if your PC can handle the high-octane races of "Need For Speed Heat"? Don't worry, we are here to help you.

First of all, you should find out the specifications of your gaming PC, especially GPU, CPU and RAM, because they have the most important impact on whether your machine is capable of this task. If you need help compiling all the hardware components, check out our step-by-step guide here.

From there, scroll down to the minimum and recommended system requirements below and check against your build. If they match, you're in luck. If not, you may need to seriously consider upgrading a component or two to make sure "Need for Speed" has enough power to run.

To make this process easier for our readers, we are working on the final touches of a custom utility that is designed to automatically scan the PC and return a complete list of its components. It is still confidential as of this writing, but once it is up and running, we will definitely release an update.

Need For Speed Heat is the latest work in the long-standing and acclaimed Need For Speed series. This time, the game commemorates the 25th anniversary of the series by taking players into a fictional version of the glitz and glamour of modern Miami.

This city is called Palm City and includes urban sprawl, rural and mountain environments, which can be traversed quickly. Players can participate in licensed races during the day and grab various cash prizes to upgrade their cars. At night, the vibrant illegal street racing scene comes to life under the neon lights of the city, and things become more underground, where players earn prestige points instead of cash. As your reputation grows, the police will respond more persistently and more skillfully to your antics of racing late at night, coming from the rough police gang of gangsters. Car chases form an important part of the night shift, and players must do their best to return home safely before being caught by the police or destroying their vehicles.

Although most of the game's content is about arcade-style truck racing, "Need for Speed: Heat" includes a single-player campaign that explores the blurring of legal boundaries. The game consists of more than 33 different car brands and nearly 130 individual engines for competition and upgrades.

Without the minimum specifications officially recommended by Ghost Games and EA, we cannot make any valuable suggestions on what is required to run Need for Speed Heat. The above are informed estimates, so don't take them as the gospel. Make a bold guess, we expect game requirements to range from medium to high possible scores, with the focus on a good GPU. The minimum requirement of

should be sufficient to produce 30 FPS at 1080p on low settings. The recommended requirement should significantly improve the experience at 60 FPS at 1080p, set high.

Fortunately, Need for Speed won the gold medal on October 9, so the official application should appear soon.

Looking to the future, there is less than a month to go until the release of "Need for Speed", which means that the performance review should arrive soon. By then, we should have a better understanding of what "Need for Speed" needs users to provide in order to provide the best experience.

Based on the expected requirements combined with speculation, if you want to have a constant FPS count exceeding 60 FPS at a resolution above 1080p, we recommend the following PC version.

If you need a starting point to move forward, we will point you to the $800 build direction. It provides an excellent price and puts you in a good position in most modern games, including Need For Speed Heat.
