CES 2020 is full of great products this year, especially in the field of gaming. And while we may not have seen any major announcements about PS5 (save for its surprisingly familiar PS5 logo), Sony brought us some great new gaming monitors in the form of the Odyssey gaming monitor series.
This 49-inch curved gaming monitor is a beast among monitors. Its futuristic design is reminiscent of the best spaceships from sci-fi movies and looks great in any gaming environment. However, not only does it look good, it also has specs to back it up. The
uses dual quad-core HD displays with a 5120x1440 resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate, and a 1ms response time. To further enhance the quality of the design, 52 colors and 5 effects are integrated into the wick at the back of the screen for you to choose from.
They also demonstrated their G7 variant at the conference. These displays have the same powerful specs as the G9 version, but differ in resolution. These displays are equipped with QHD 2560 × 1440. In addition, these displays are not the futuristic white used in the G9, but jet black. So, depending on what kind of beauty you are looking for in the game settings, Samsung can meet your needs.
These monitors should arrive in the second quarter of 2020, although we do not have information on prices yet. All in all, these are high-quality gaming monitors that we are eager to try for ourselves.
