Rx 580 vs rx 590

As gamers, we may all know that there is a fierce war between AMD and Nvidia, arguing over who makes the best graphics card for the game. In terms of top-notch performance and 4K quality, NVIDIA is definitely in the lead, but what happens when you look at the more affordable market?

AMD produced the RX 590 soon after the release of the RX 580, and upgraded it on the basis of this and the earlier RX 480 graphics card, which was launched a year ago to compete with the GTX 1660 Ti. Similarly, Ti is a more advanced version of the GXT 1660 GPU, so the two GPUs we saw in this article have something in common.

This is a contest between two graphics cards. They offer the most products in their respective series, but besides being a leader in games, can one of these GPUs beat the other?

This article will compare some of the most important features that need to be considered when considering upgrading a GPU, including the technology's architecture and progress, cooling solutions, size and dimensions, VRAM memory, and of course GPU memory, resolution, and frames. GTX 1660 Ti is therefore a better choice if you are considering overclocking your GPU so that you can push it beyond its standard features. It is only slightly faster than the basic clock speed of the RX 590, which is 1,500 MHz, but has a higher boost speed of 1,830 MHz, which shows that the Turing architecture is worthwhile. The

GTX 1660 Ti is equipped with some very sweet heat and is lined with a liner on the top of the stove to improve circulation, which means that hot air is pushed from the unit into the sink assembly and away from the assembly. It is effective, but the sound is also loud.

In our test, the highest temperature reached by the GTX 1660 Ti was 61 ℃. The operating temperature of the RX 590 is much higher. It can reach a peak at around 82 ℃ and then stabilize at around 78 ℃. Although it is almost as loud as the RX 590, it is still 10 degrees louder than the RX 590.

As a comparison, the maximum fan noise of the RX 590 is 42.5 dB, and the maximum fan noise of the GTX 1660 Ti is 45.6 dB, so the difference between the two is not big. In terms of power consumption, the opposite is true. The TDP of the former is greater than 175 watts, while the TDP of the latter is only 120 watts, so the power consumption is lower.

This may not be the most exciting consideration when you're considering buying a new graphics card, but knowing the size of the GPU you're considering will help you make sure it fits your board comfortably before you pay.

There is not much difference between the two graphics cards, but the RX 590 is the longer GPU of the two. Its length is 241mm, while the length of the GTX 1660 Ti is just 229mm, but it shouldn't make much of a difference unless you're serious about fighting for space.

In terms of display output, the GTX Ti has 1 x DVI, 1 x HDMI, and 1 x DisplayPort. The RX 590 doesn't have a DVI out port, but you can get 2 DisplayPorts because you have 3 in total.

At 1080p, it can deliver a staggering 96.3 frames per second on average, even going over 100 frames per second in some titles, and rarely less than 90 frames per second.

RX 590 still achieved high results, and always went up 80 frames per second, and then stabilized near this mark, but its Polaris architecture is not enough to keep up with the GTX 1660 Ti, you do notice the difference, especially the title modern.

At 1440p, the gap between them is still very large. The GTX 1660 Ti held the lead at 71.7 frames per second, while the RX 590 fell below 60, averaging 58.0 frames per second. In 4K, we started to see that both cards were having problems.

With great effort, the GTX Ti can almost provide an average playable frame rate of about 42.5 fps, but none of the graphics cards are actually designed to reproduce in this configuration. However, of the two,

GPUs, they are powerful enough to meet the needs of ray tracing technology that you can download through the Nvidia driver.

On the other hand, RX 590 will be much slower, although it can also technically support this technology. You may see the frame rate drop well below 40, and the graphics look completely different from what you experience with one of Nvidia's RTX GPUs. The battle of

capacity won the RX 590. It has developed by leaps and bounds from the 4GB provided in the past, and now provides gamers with 8GB of large-capacity storage space. It has a 256-bit memory bus interface and runs at 8 Gbps to get silky smooth frames.

Similarly, the GTX 1660 Ti only has 6GB of memory storage. It's not much less than the RX 590, but what really matters is that the GTX 1660 Ti runs on the newest and most advanced type of GDDR6 memory. It is more energy efficient than its predecessor and can provide smoother graphics performance and perfect images on your screen.

is in a leading position in many fields and is superior to the RX 590 in almost every respect. Whether you're interested in high frame rates to keep up with fast-paced games in your favorite games, or more interested in trying out Nvidia's new ray-tracing technology, if you can afford it, the GTX 1660 Ti is for you. Better option.

However, if you want to spend less on the GPU, the RX 590 is still a powerful mid-range graphics card that can provide excellent frame rates and maintain pretty good performance when further enhancing its performance.
