Nvidia rtx 2080 2070 powering laptops
There are a lot of rumors about Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti SUPER variants, but in fact, Nvidia does have a new RTX model waiting to be produced.
revealed in a tweet from user kopite7kimi that it looks like we will get the Nvidia 2080 Ti SUPER. The user’s previous view of other Nvidia-related links is correct, so it looks promising. However, for any leaks and rumors, we always recommend that you add a little salt.
Interestingly, the user also posted a suggested release date for this card. However, the tweet has been deleted, so we will not have much hope for the tweet. The seemingly mysterious number (4,608) in the
tweet refers to the number of CUDA cores that the GPU is believed to have. This means it will use the full Turing TU102 GPU previously seen on Nvidia's Titan RTX. Compared with the 544 and 68 ray tracing cores of the 2080 Ti, the model runs on 576 Tensor cores and 72 ray tracing cores.
When the tweet mentions 16 Gbps, it refers to the bandwidth of the video RAM. We can compare it with the existing 14Gbps RTX 2080 Ti. There is no mention of the amount of video memory. This will be the main difference between the rumored SUPER card and Titan RTX. Titan RTX has a huge 24GB RAM to deal with, so it will be interesting to see where Nvidia launches this new model.
It seems that RTX 2080 Ti SUPER can use 11GB or 12GB of video memory. It is also worth noting that if there is a SUPER GPU, its running speed may be slower than Titan RTX, so so far, it has not been challenged by this new feature.
There is no confirmation or date, all we can do is speculate. It may finally appear suddenly early next year as a preemptive blow to AMD's so-called Nvidiakiller's Navi GPU. As always, we will notify you as soon as we learn more.
