Mysterious minimalist horror game mundaun announced

Based on benchmark details, AMD is preparing a new version of one of its Ryzen 4000 Renoir mobile processors.

According to hardware leaker @TUM_APISAK, 3DMark benchmark results for "Ryzen 7 Extreme Edition" have been discovered. This appears to be part of a mobile processor and a Renoir series. The

Ryzen 7 APU appears to have 8 cores and 16 threads, the base clock is 1.8 GHz, and the throttle clock is 4.3 GHz. Since the base clock is quite low, it appears that this APU will be based on one of the Ryzen 4000 Useries, running at a 15W TDP.

Currently, the Renoir series has two Ryzen 7 SKUs, but only Ryzen 7 4800U has 8 cores and 16 threads. Based on this information, it appears that this mysterious APU will be based on this processor.

Although the 4800U has a base clock of 1.8 GHz and a boost clock of 4.2 GHz, the Extreme Edition will be equipped with almost an additional 100 MHz boost clock. Another find from

@TUM_APISAK is Ryzen 9 4900U, whose specifications seem be exactly the same as Ryzen 7 Extreme Edition.

These two new APUs may be specifically designed for use in Microsoft laptops. We know that AMD has previously customized APUs for Microsoft Surface devices.

In the case of these custom APUs, they are almost the same as the original APUs, but the Microsoft variant has an additional Vega Computing Unit (CU). The Ryzen 3000 Useries chip has a maximum of 10 CU, but Microsoft's custom chip has reached 11 CU.

Interestingly, when this happened in the past, the custom Microsoft chip was called "Surface Edition" instead of "Extreme". Therefore, it may not be applicable to Microsoft or available to other companies. Eliminating the "surface" aspect means you won't hold back other potential customers who want to customize chips for their laptops or mobile devices.

However, these details have not been confirmed. We know that these mysterious chips will show up somewhere, but we don't know when or where they will eventually be. If we hear more details, we will notify you in time.
