MSI seems to have been busy lately, especially because we heard a lot of news about their new motherboard series. It seems that MSI will release at least seven different Z490 motherboards next year, and now we have some detailed information about them.
's recent leak revealed more details about the MSI motherboard series, including the following four series.
So far, we have not seen the MAG Z490 model, but this leak revealed the missing motherboard series. The
MAG Tomahawk is an entry-level motherboard with an ATX form factor. It seems that it has undergone the biggest design change since the previous Z390 series motherboards.
This MEG ACE motherboard is the second most powerful motherboard from MSI. In fact, it is part of MSI's high-end MEG series.
In terms of connectivity, MEG ACE motherboards are 1 Gbe and 2.5 Gbe.
MSI is also preparing to launch the Z490 version of its Gaming Carbon series. We've already seen the Z390 model, which has a full carbon fiber texture, so this will be an interesting update. However, not much is known about this motherboard.
We have seen a glimpse of the MSI Z490 GODLIKE motherboard, but more details and images have been leaked recently. GODLIKE is an understandable flagship motherboard, it has almost all the functions that the motherboard can provide.
This is the only MSI motherboard with 10Gbe Ethernet, EATX form factor, OLED display and M.2 expansion slot. The motherboard will reportedly also support PCIe 4.0, so it's worth keeping in mind as well.
It is not yet known how much it will cost. However, it is expected to cost more than Intel’s Core I9 10900K CPU.
