Moving out release date
If you are an e-sports player, you may want to check out MSI’s new series of 144Hz monitors: MSI Optix MAG273 and MAG 273R. Both
monitors are built with fast IPS panels, with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, which are very suitable for fast-paced e-sports or action games. Although they only have 1080p resolution, other specifications are more than enough to make up for this and are expected to help lower prices.
There is not much difference between the two monitors in terms of panel type and design. Both have a slim, elegant and simple bezel design with a bronze finish.
Interestingly, none of these display lines are eligible for DisplayHDR certification because the maximum brightness is only 250 nits. Although MSI describes them as HDR Ready. The
MAG273 series will support AMD's FreeSync, which means it may also be compatible with GSync, although we have not confirmed this yet. Each new monitor will also be compatible with MSI’s Gaming OSD application to help you change display settings.
In terms of color and image quality, this monitor series has a panel with 98 IP3 or 139% sRGB coverage. The viewing angle is 178°, which should help resolve any color shift or image distortion. In connection with
, the monitor will be equipped with two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.2, audio output, two USB TypeA 2.0 and one USB Type B 2.0 ports. The main difference of
is that they have different brackets, and MAG27ER has additional RGB backlight. MAG273 has limited adjustment options and only supports 5° to 20° tilt, while MAG273R also allows you to adjust the height by 130mm.
Currently, information about prices and when it will be available is unclear. When we hear updates, we will make sure to keep you updated.
