Some people may be surprised, in fact, there are more Monster Hunter games in the franchise than Monster Hunter: World. Since Monster Hunter is traditionally more popular in Japan, you may not even have encountered these previous games.
If you like your experience in Monster Hunter: World more and more, you will be happy to know that there are four other excellent Monster Hunter games to be explored, although one of them is only released in Japan.

Monster Hunter 4 also places more emphasis on 3D movement during gameplay. This allows the player to scale walls more smoothly and takes advantage of heights in battle.
The number of available weapons has also been increased to 14, allowing players to use charge blades and insect war blades in battle. Other than that, the general points of the main game are basically the same. You will explore the area and hunt monsters. The goal is to upgrade your equipment to hunt bigger monsters. In the process, you will unlock different base camps and NPCs with which you can communicate. However, the underwater part of Monster Hunter Tri did not appear in this title again.

If you're looking for more content, Monster Hunter: World also has a pretty big DLC called Iceborne. This massive expansion nearly doubled the amount of content in the base game, bringing the total number of monsters to 66, the total number of story missions to 50, and a new ice themed area.
