Intel overclocking b460 motherboards

At what seems like a strange turning point, it looks like we can see Intel start providing users with overclocking capabilities, which can overclock the upcoming Comet Lake processor on the mid-range B460 motherboard. Although this is usually a feature reserved only for the best series of motherboards (like Zseries), it will be interesting to see if this is true.

In theory, these three buttons can provide some basic overclocking functionality for these inexpensive boards. However, if this turns out to be true, we don't expect it to be on par with the more expensive Zseries motherboards.

There is currently no clear information on the actual function of these buttons. Could they be some kind of voltage control? Anyone is currently guessing. However, this motherboard is really impressive at first glance. Since build quality is an important factor for stable overclocking, these buttons can help manage it somewhat.

If this information turns out to be correct, it can add a lot of value to Intel processors, which may start to struggle to compete with the impressive Ryzen 3000 series. Enabling some form of overclocking on mid-range motherboards can be a smart way to Intel help bridge the gap with competitors without hurting your most expensive product line.

We know that the price of Z series motherboards is quite high. This overclocking ability can also be a way to prevent customers from turning to AMD. After all, it is clear that AMD is trying to provide a higher level of performance at a more competitive price range. Chapter
