Due to the growing unrest and protests in the United States after the assassination of George Floyd, another big name in the gaming industry postponed a major event.

As more and more corporate and brand accounts support nationwide protests of the "Fate of Blacks is Fate" movement on social media, the upcoming new season of "Call of Duty" has been postponed.

The official Call of Duty Twitter account issued the following tweet:

Although fans are obviously disappointed, this isn't the only game-related counterattack we've seen. Yesterday, Sony also tweeted that they had postponed the State of Play event originally scheduled for this week, and EA announced their announcement of NFL Madden 21.

We also saw some tweets from game companies that supported the protests.

In these uncertain and difficult times, it's great to see these companies use their platforms and audiences to do positive things.
