Corsair launches the hydro x series a water cooling range

In recent years, optical drives in notebook computers have gradually disappeared, but they have not completely disappeared. Although content streaming services such as Steam and Netflix have almost eliminated disk drives, ASUS has announced a change of direction.

ASUS designed the latest laptop X545FA, equipped with a classic DVD drive. This new laptop also uses Intel’s 10th-generation Comet Lake CPU to achieve a fusion of the old and the new. There are two models of

X545FA, one with Intel Core i3 and the other with i7 CPU, but both with disk drives and Intel UHD graphics. You can also install DDR4 SDRAM up to 8GB. The

laptop is equipped with a 15.6-inch Full HD display, available in slate gray or transparent silver, and weighs 1.9 kg. Probably the most notable feature of the

is the DVD drive, which can read and write various types of CDs and DVDs. However, DVD player software is not included and the DVD drive does not support Blu-ray discs. The

uses a DVD drive, which makes the notebook thicker than other similar types of notebooks on the market. However, the advantage of this is that you can freely provide a variety of connection options. The laptop is equipped with 3 USB ports, WiFi 5, Bluetooth, HDMI, a microSD card reader, and an audio jack.

With a bigger laptop, you might think Asus can provide a better battery. However, ASUS claims that the laptop can run 6.7 to 8.6 hours on a single charge, which is less than what other laptops currently offer.

As mentioned above, this laptop has two different models, each with a slightly different CPU. The

Intel Core i310110U notebook is currently priced at US$705. The Intel Core i710510U model is currently priced at US$908.
