The battle to create the first 360Hz monitor has already begun, and it looks like Asus and Alienware will be going head-to-head.

Alienware is preparing to build a gaming monitor with a 360Hz refresh rate. This will be an upgraded version of the Alienware 25, which will be equipped with a 25.5-inch IPS screen.

will also support Nvidia's GSync technology to prevent screen tearing. For anyone concerned about Nvidia's Ampere architecture graphics card, this should come in handy.

Alienware seems very confident in its plans and has already said:

"PC games will run smoothly, with almost no screen tearing or blurring, and consistent colors from all angles." Asus

as early as January It was announced that they were developing a 360 Hz refresh rate monitor. So this seems to be a direct competitor to Alienware.

Asus calls its monitor ROG Swift 360 and claims it will be "the fastest esports gaming monitor in the world." The

monitor will also support Nvidia GSync to reduce screen tearing, but other than that we don't know much about these two monitors.

Alienware is likely using a panel designed by AU Optronics, and ASUS is using this panel. If this is true, then the resolution of the Alienware display appears to be 1920 x 1080. Although this is more likely to happen wherever they get the panel.

For most people, 360 Hz may seem a bit too much, but it may be. However, these displays are clearly designed for the e-sports industry and are more suitable for ultra-sports games than casual games.

Earlier this year, Nvidia stated in a blog post: “Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Rainbow Six: Siege, Overwatch, and Fortnite are just a few competitive games that can achieve 360 fps on GeForce RTX hardware. Players will be able to take full advantage of the new 360Hz monitor and benefit from the improvements found in our research. “

Therefore, this type of monitor will be mainly used for very special gamers and professionals, because most people don’t need such a high Refresh rate.

On the other hand, if you are interested in doing it yourself, you should wait. Neither Asus nor Alienware announced the release date or even the price. We can't imagine any of them being cheap! However, when we have more news, we will let you know the details as soon as possible.
