If you want to update your laptop configuration, ASUS has put together an exciting new announcement for you.
portable displays have been around for a while, but they have become really popular recently. However, until now, many portable displays have not fully considered the needs of gamers.
ASUS tried to bridge the market gap with its new ROG Strix XG17AHPE. This is an impressive 17.3-inch portable display with a 240Hz refresh rate.
ASUS XG17 was first released on Computex last year, but we don't know much about this monitor since then. However, ASUS recently released a product page and a list of specifications.
Display size: 17.3 inches
Resolution: 1920 x 1080p
Refresh rate: 240 Hz
Response time: 3ms
Panel type: IPS
Color saturation: 100% sRGB
Brightness: 404, 404 1W Speaker: 404 1W stereo x2
Built-in battery: 3,700 Ah
Battery life: 3.5 hours at 240 Hz
ASUS seems to have taken some of the basic specifications of the best gaming monitors on the market and tried to include them in a smaller, more convenient package.
in In terms of connectivity, the display has a micro HDMI 2.0 port, a USB TypeC and a 3.5 mm audio jack. Interestingly, the lack of DisplayPort input can be a problem for people waiting for you to install a new laptop.
MSI is also working hard to develop portable displays for gamers, so ASUS is not without competitors. If MSI and ASUS succeed in this market segment, it may mean that other manufacturers are beginning to stand up and pay more attention to the expansion of customer choices as more gaming monitors are released. If the market is profitable enough, we may eventually focus on Samsung or Gigabyte models.
Unfortunately, the only information we currently have comes from the product page that lists the specifications. We are not sure how much it will eventually cost or when it will be released. However, given the new ASUS product page, we hope it will be available soon.
As soon as we have more information on when it will be available, we will notify you in time. Have you been looking for a portable gaming monitor to complete your gaming laptop setup?
