Cloud imperium games announce roadmap for squadron 42
AOC has become more and more popular in recent years and is now equipped with a series of inexpensive and competitive gaming monitors in the performance sector. However, one area that budget-friendly brands seem to lack is high-speed displays, especially in the area of higher refresh rates. Since then,
AOC has quelled the rumor and released its fast AG254FG gaming monitor, which showed a 360Hz refresh rate and 1ms GTG response time. This panel fits their growing AGON series, and its performance seems to exceed budget and aesthetics. Having said that, the AOC team still manages to produce excellent displays at a fraction of the price of competitors, and AG254FG expects that the market price will be similar. The
AGON AG254FG will be equipped with all the high-performance features you expect from any excellent gaming monitor. Its core is a 24.5-inch 1080p IPS panel that supports wide color gamut and variable refresh rate technology (in the form of Gsync, and possibly FreeSync). The main feature of this monitor is an impressive 360Hz refresh rate, which is perfectly matched with the 1ms GTG response time, bringing a clear gaming experience. Like many other IPS panels, AG254FG will provide a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a brightness of 400 nits, with no signs of HDR. Excellent viewing angle (178/178) and impressive color gamut coverage, equivalent to 110% sRGB or 85 IP3. Although no delay details are provided, we expect the AG254FG to produce very low input delay, especially considering the speed and GSync support.
As always, AG254FG will be equipped with all common AGON functions, including overload and ULMB modes. In terms of input, the AGON display will be equipped with 1 x DisplayPort 1.4, 2 x HDMI 2.0 and 4 x USB 3.0 options, including audio jack input and 2 general-purpose external 5W speakers. In addition, with the excellent ergonomic design of the stand, including height, tilt and rotation, this display does not seem to go wrong.
At the time of writing, AOC AGON AG254FG is not actually available for purchase. However, we expect that there will be more details about the official release date of this monitor in the next few months, so stay tuned. However, we can begin to explore the potential price of this monitor. When it comes to 360Hz displays, it may fall into the lower price range, maintaining the AOC budget pricing method we have seen in the past.
