Although we have just released the Ryzen 4000 Renoir CPU, it seems that we have started to see some information about the next generation of Ryzen APUs.
Detailed information has surfaced from Dell, listing these Ryzen 5000 APUs as moving parts and may replace Ryzen 4000 CPUs in 2021.
These leaks were originally discovered on the Anandtech forum and appear to reveal that AMD has begun studying their next APU line. Dell also seems to plan to use them in the new 15.6-inch notebook series.
Twitter user _rogame also participated in these leaks and emphasized that these Cezanne chips may match Intel's upcoming Tiger Lake processor with Xe graphics.
We can see these Tiger Lake laptops starting to decline in late 2020 (or early 2021, if there is a delay), with these next-gen 5000 series Cezanne APUs to follow soon.
These leaked facts also indicate that these Cezanne chips will be "pin-compatible" with the Ryzen 4000, which also means that laptop manufacturers don't have to worry about changing the design of their motherboards.
The graphics capabilities of these Cezanne chips can really help them stand out from the competition. Laptops with integrated RDNA 2 graphics will make a big difference in the world of budget gaming laptops and may attract a large number of customers.
Although we don't have the exact details about what specifications these laptops will have, we know that at least four 15.6-inch Dell laptops are detailed in the leak.
These are as follows:
It is said that each of these models has a Freesync panel, but otherwise we know very little. However, the good news is that Dell is already planning its next-generation models.
If we hear more about AMD's plans to use its next-gen APU, we'll keep you posted.
