Breath of the wild 2 release
Before you start to get too excited about this new story, let me first say that at least for now, the new Aya Neo Founder handheld computer is only available in China. The manufacturer has not confirmed the international release date, but that doesn't mean we won't get one. In fact, the manufacturer has hinted that this may be its next step and proposed the idea of launching crowdfunding to help achieve this goal. The original October release date has been postponed like many other versions this year (thanks to COVID), and shipments are now scheduled to start on November 7.
In this impressive console, we saw an AMD Ryzen 5 4500U system chip with Zen core and AMD Vega 6 graphics. Although the CPU is limited to 6 cores and 6 threads, Vega 5 provides 6 computing units (384 stream processors). It is equipped with a default GPU clock of 1.5Ghz and performance of 1.1TFLOPs. This makes it about 19 times slower than the Radeon RX 6900XT, but this is a brand new GPU, which is a tiny handheld device, so we are still in awe.
Although we have seen many variant designs of this game console on the Internet, the final design is a 7-inch 1280 × 800 IPS display panel wrapped in a translucent plastic shell. There will be two models to choose from, one with 500GB of original storage for 3999 yuan (approximately US$605) and a slightly larger 1TB storage model, priced at 4599 yuan (approximately US$756). However, these prices have not been finalized as they may increase as development costs increase (all explained in the video above).
Let's see how it compares to other handheld gaming devices currently on the market / coming soon:
The prototype version of the console has been tested by YouTuber "The Phawx", who has tested it on Horizon n In the test, "Zero Dawn" it successfully averaged 32 FPS at 1280 × 800 resolution. Not bad for such a small device.
