With the release of AMD’s latest graphics cards only a few weeks later, we have seen the continuous influx of advancements in various AIB models appearing on the Internet. Today, we have seen one of the improvements. This time, it takes the form of an AMD Radeon RX 6800XT Black Edition graphics card, which is said to be manufactured by Sapphire.

In short, AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT Black Edition is impressive. If you are like me, your wardrobe is almost all black clothes, which has a great influence on your aesthetics. However, it should not be confused with the similarly named XFX Black Edition with a custom designed cooler. The model will use reference cooling and PCB layout. Although we are not sure which manufacturer is behind this commercial version, the source suggests that it may be Sapphire. However, either way, everything will clear up in just a few days.

Take a look at the design here for a minute and you will understand why we love it so much. This design uses an all-black backplane, even the front cover and I/O board are black, which is different from the standard design with silver and black backplanes. The edges of the fan blades and the outer edges of the Radeon stickers have silver decorations. It looks more elegant and cooler than the reference design. Moreover, from the running images of some leaked cards, we can see that there is still a small part of RGB (we know how much you like good RGB). We see in these images that only the Radeon logo is lit up, but that only means that it leaves room for all other RGB components to glow, right?

AMD recently revealed all the specs and details of its 6000 series GPUs at a live event, allowing us to officially understand the functions of these cards for the first time. AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT will be equipped with Navi 21 GPU, which is an optimized SKU with 72 compute units, 16GB DDR6 memory on a 256-bit bus interface, 512GB / s total bandwidth, base clock speed 2015 MHz and 2250 MHz increases clock speed Thanks to its 72 beam accelerators, the card can handle ray tracing. In addition to the standard memory, it also has 128MB Infinity Cache, which means you can increase the bandwidth at higher resolutions (we are talking 1080p +) for higher performance.

But after excluding all these stats, what does this mean for PC gamers? Well, compared to its main competitor, the Nvidia RTX 3080, AMD's own benchmarks show mixed results. Although the 6800XT has brought some obvious wins in a series of 4K games with different games, these results are based on the allAMD system, which runs the new Ryzen 5000 series CPU alongside the 6800XT. This means that the system can take advantage of the latest Rage Made and Smart Access Memory technologies from AMD. We still don't know how much of a difference in performance there will be if the new GPU is paired with an older 3000 series CPU or even an Intel CPU.

When we go down to 1440p games, the same result will occur, AMD claims to win in most games, although the performance improvement here is more obvious. Of course, this uses the same settings as before, so we don’t yet know how angry mode and smart memory access will affect these results.

Before we have the opportunity to compare 6000 series GPUs for ourselves, it is difficult to say exactly which card is best for your setup. The price of AMD 6800XT is US$649, while the price of Nvidia RTX 3080 is slightly higher than US$699, so AMD may have surpassed Nvidia in terms of cost performance.
