Twitter leaker _rogame found two entries in the 3DMark database that could leak the RX 6700M benchmark, although identifying them in this case is not entirely straightforward. The relevant entry in the
3DMark database is listed as Radeon RX 6700 XT (ie desktop GPU), but the result is the use of AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU (portable processor). The fact that it must be a laptop graphics card.
The card’s 10,240 MB (10 GB) video memory also shows that it is an RX 6700M, because the RX 6600M has 8 GB, and the more powerful RX 6800M has 12 GB of video memory. The detailed information of the
card specifications and results can be seen in the gallery above. We know that this card uses Navi 22 GPU, is equipped with 2304 stream processors, has a 160-bit memory bus and 135W TGP (the same TGP as Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070). The
GPU scored 8628 points in Time Spy and 27062 points in Fire Strike. The average clock speed during these tests was between 1945 and 1987 MHz.
Above you can see the performance comparison of the graphics card (we assume AMD Radeon RX 6700M) and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 and RTX 3060. These were assembled by _rogame himself , and apparently they also use Ryzen 5000 series CPUs, although we can't be sure if they were tested with the same specific AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU as the RX 6700M, so we can't assume they show exactly the same performance. . Graph
shows that the performance of the RX 6700M in the Fire Strike test is slightly better than that of the RTX 3070 and significantly better than that of the RTX 3060. However, in the Time Spy test, the RX 6700M was slightly inferior to the RTX 3060 , and was vastly improved by defeating the 3070 by the RTX.
How these results translate into in-game FPS performance remains to be seen-once we are able to use one of these laptop GPUs, please rest assured that we will conduct our own extensive testing.
Although we don't have an official release date for the AMD Radeon RX 6700M, these benchmarks (assuming they are definitely for this graphics card) indicate that we can expect to see it in the relatively near future. Our best guess is sometime in the next quarter.
As for the rest of the AMD Radeon RX 6000M series: RX 6800M is currently available in laptops, although we have not seen any releases with Radeon RX 6600M.
