Black friday green man gaming deals
A day before competitor Nvidia launched the RTX 3060 GPU, AMD gave us the first look at their long-awaited RX 6700 XT graphics card.
However, it turns out that the RX 6700 XT is neither designed nor priced to compete with Nvidia. RTX 3060, but with a more powerful RTX 3070 graphics card.

In this era of insufficient inventory and dealers frantically raising aftermarket prices to absurd levels, many people expect the 6700XT to be a panacea for those who want but cannot upgrade their old GPUs.
Unfortunately, those who expect the suggested retail price of the 6700XT to be around US$400 are disappointed: the starting price of the vanilla 6700XT is US$479, which is much higher than the price we can expect from the Nvidia RTX 3060. retail.
Nevertheless, Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB's $479 is still cheaper than $499, because NVIDIA charges for its RTX 3070 8GB, which is the graphics card that AMD directly competes with. The above
is a comparison between the specifications of the RX 6700 XT and the more expensive RX 6800 card. The RX 6800 card is the second most powerful in the series. Unsurprisingly, compared to the RX 6800, the newer graphics card has fewer computer drives (40 vs. 60) and less VRAM (12 GB vs. 16 GB), but it has a faster game clock (2424 Mhz vs. 1815Mhz, an increase of 25%).
How this will actually affect performance remains to be seen (as always, always waiting for independent third-party testing!), although we can assume that lower computer units and VRAM mean worse performance for ray tracing and 4K games. The gap may not be so narrow, but, on the 1440p screen, AMD is mainly aimed at this version of gamers.
As always, please keep any information about the performance of the graphics card until the third party can complete the independent benchmark test, but above we can see that AMD provides us with data on the 6700XT and similarly priced Nvidia graphics graphics .
As you can see, according to AMD data, RX 6700 XT 12GB outperforms RTX 3060 Ti 8GB in most games, and slightly ahead of RTX 3070 8GB in the games tested. Is this a transferable sample of other games that we don't know about yet?
Although there is no new information published on this topic, we can expect that the RX 6700 XT will not be as good as Nvidia's card in terms of cryptocurrency mining, which hopefully means that your inventory level will not be affected too much. You will be able to do so in March 2021 Buy the AMD Radeon 6700XT on the 18th, but whether you can actually get the product the same day is another matter. No information about expected inventory levels is revealed, so we just have to cross our fingers (but assume the worst case scenario).
AMD announced that they will be selling the entry-level 6700XT model directly from their website, in the hope that this will at least slightly reduce the volume of purchases from crypto farmers, resellers and robot buyers. It remains to be seen how this will be accomplished.
Additionally, AMD partners (pictured above) will also sell their own inventory of cards on the same day. Hope this means a bit better usability, but don't hold your breath!
