Since the launch of the Comet Lake processor series, Intel has recently seen new interest. However, based on data obtained from Mindfactory, this may not be enough for some customers. 4,444 According to data from the German retailer Mindfactory, 5,270 AMD processors were sold in the first week of June. This is very different from the Intel 770 processor sold.

This is 83% of AMD CPU sales. AMD's total revenue in Mindfactory is 1,106,065 Euros, which is approximately 1,248,970 US dollars or 983,950 pounds. Instead, the price of an Intel CPU is just € 246,605, which is roughly $ 278,490 or £ 219,400.

Currently, the retailer's best-selling CPU is the AMD Ryzen 5 3600, and 1,710 units have been sold. Followed by AMD Ryzen 7 3700X has sold 970 units, while Ryzen 5 2600 has been in use for two years and has sold 700 units.

Of course, it's worth remembering that the new Intel Comet Lake CPU is new to the retailer's website. In other words, only 50 Intel Core i710700Ks were sold in the first week, while only 40 Intel Core i510600Ks were sold. For the long-awaited new series of processors, we hope that people will buy inventory soon.

This is just one retailer's number so we can't really say if this data can fit all. But it brings surprising reading. This indicates that Intel may not have much of an impact on the market through Comet Lake. The 11th-gen Rocket Lake series may be what some people are looking forward to.

AMD is currently working hard to release the Ryzen 4000 CPU, which may shake up the market even more. These will be based on the Zen 3 architecture, using TSMC's 7nm compute node. On the other hand, the upcoming Rocket Lake series will be based on the new 14nm Willow Cave architecture.

We will definitely pay close attention to the market for more information. Whether this trend toward AMD will continue remains to be seen, but if Intel is a bit concerned, we won't be surprised.

What do you think of the sales data? Do you think this is representative of the market or just an anomaly? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
