AMD intends to expand its growing hardware lineup by preparing two other graphics cards, Radeon RX 5500M and Radeon RX5300M. Although we have heard some news about the desktop versions of these cards, it is good to know that mobile platforms will not be excluded.
We know that these two GPUs will be manufactured using a 7nm process and it looks like they will compete with Nvidia's mid-range GTX cards. The main difference between these cards and similar Nvidia products is the 7nm-based platform they use. Since NVIDIA has yet to embrace the less than 10 nanometer process, now is the best time for AMD to make a statement to the market. These new GPUs are not only based on the 7nm process that Nvidia has yet to adopt, but will also be equipped with GDDR6 memory. This seems to give them an edge over their competitors in the mobile market. As always, this kind of healthy competition is that Nvidia must respond as quickly as possible, otherwise it may be left behind.
In the last few days, Wccftech has reported on some specifications of this card. A quick summary of these findings shows that the new Radeon RX 5500M mobile GPU will be based on the RDNA architecture, with a total of 1408 cores. As mentioned above, it will be equipped with GDDR6 memory clocked at approximately 14 Gbps, and the GPU will be able to increase to 1645 MHz.

We still don't know what the AMD price of these upcoming graphics cards is. Historically, AMD's pricing structure has not been too fancy. The question is what other components will be included in the laptop with these cards. Since this GPU can be equipped with a Ryzen 7 processor, we can see that the price of the laptop is closer to the budget
mid-range to high-end.
If AMD manages to achieve a good price / performance ratio on these cards, then Nvidia will face great pressure and will need to launch its own products. As AMD hopes to fill this gap in the market, they at least hope to use excellent graphics cards to achieve this goal.
If these benchmarks and specifications prove to be accurate, we believe that the Radeon RX 5300M will become a strong competitor to NVIDIA GTX 1650 and similar graphics cards.
