The tension between Nvidia and AMD in the market makes it difficult for gamers to choose between competing units. Radeon 5700 XT and RTX 2070 perfectly illustrate this fight. So to clear up these turbulent times, we'll put these GPUs under the microscope to see which one is the best for you.

Nvidia was the first to rush the scene with their 1999 GeForce 256 GPU. They've been improving their processes ever since, but if anyone has a challenge with their product, it's AMD.
Historically, AMD has weakened Nvidia by offering GPU cards at a slightly lower price, and it looks like they will continue this frugal move, which is good for us. This means that if you are looking for a mid-market GPU option, choosing Radeon will pay off the most.
In terms of raw graphics processing power, Nvidia is still in a leading position, although AMD's latest effort, Big Navi, keeps them on their toes. Another advantage of the AMD limit is that they are more open when they roll out feature updates. They have always been designed for the best performance on AMD hardware, but are fully compatible with Nvidia technology.

RTX 2070 GPU is built from the ground up using its proprietary Turing micro-architecture. Its TU106 silicon build has 2304 CUDA cores with a basic clock speed of 1620MHz and a frequency increase of 1815MHz. The computing power of the CUDA core in the Turing architecture is 7.5, which is really impressive, but the best thing about this Turing chip is the dedicated RT and Tensor cores.

RTX is a series of outdoor GPUs, which means they work well, but since they release excess heat into the case instead of completely dissipating it, it is best to ensure that the airflow in the case is optimized.

For 1080p resolution, there is no doubt that RTX 2070 is the best GPU. It is better than the Radeon card in almost all types of games. Fortnight is not a particularly demanding game, from a visual point of view the extra fps are definitely welcome, even if Nvidia beats AMD by 1%. Overwatch and GTA5 won 4% of Nvidia's win, and PUBG increased this gap to 8%, but it was CSGO who really saw the RTX card take off with a 14% win.
