Amd radeon rx 5500
Rumors about AMD's Radeon RX 5500 graphics card have been circulating for some time. The recent announcement from
that detailed descriptions of the RX 5300 XT for HP Desktops has sparked further news that the unreleased RX 5500 graphics card has been added to the GFXBench database.
There are not many short answers. Since this data is available, this will certainly tell us a lot about how it will work. The problem is that these numbers did not actually appear in the benchmark. Earlier this week, Twitter user
Komachi discovered the GFXBench entry. However, there is very little information on actual performance figures in the GFXBench entry. Those included do not provide an accurate or reliable picture of what most of us think about the power of the RX 5500.
While this may be disappointing news at first, it does at least confirm our suspicion that the next mainstream graphics card from AMD will have a Ryzen-like GPU layer.
Since the RX 5700 series already exists with the RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT graphics cards, the RX 5500 series is expected to fill the gap to strengthen this line. It seems that AMD can target the lower-end market with this product line, so it will be interesting to see where the RX 5500 stands in terms of specs.
According to TechPowerUp, this may be a lower-end Navi GPU rather than a Polaris-based one. This may mean that it can compete with Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1660, a seemingly wide area of the graphics card market.
What do you think of this next graphics card? Do you think this landmark has any substance? It seems that we have to see if there is more information before we can draw a definite conclusion.
