Amd european hardware awards
The winners of the European Hardware Awards have been officially announced by the European Hardware Association (EHA). AMD has received impressive recognition for its work in the CPU and GPU fields.
EHA has written more than 400,000 articles and is one of the most experienced associations judging the best hardware in Europe. More than 100 of Europe's best journalists have determined what is currently the best-selling hardware in continental Europe. This year, due to the current global crisis, the awards were announced online.
However, the European Hardware Awards do not only cover CPUs and GPUs. They look at some of the best laptops, mice, headsets, chairs, and anything you can think of related to technology. For a complete list of winners, be sure to check their official announcement.
As expected, AMD's performance this year is impressive, winning multiple awards, the most famous of which is the CPU category.
First of all, AMD won what is probably the most coveted award of this event, the "Best CPU" award. This was awarded to AMD's Ryzen 9 3950X processor, which has 16 cores and 32 threads. The base clock speed of the Ryzen 9 3950X processor is 3.5 GHz and can achieve an increased clock speed of up to 4.7 GHz.
AMD's next award is "Product of the Year 2020." This was awarded to the AMD Ryzen 3000 series processors. The new technology and the increased number of cores provided by this series make them an impressive series of products.
There is no doubt that bringing processors based on the 7nm Zen 2 architecture to general consumers without having to increase prices is also very helpful in securing AMD's victory.
AMD won another award for its impressive processor. "Best New Technology" awarded to AMD's Ryzen Chiplet CPU design. This CPU Chiplet design has always allowed AMD to improve its hardware to compete and eventually surpass Intel's CPU products. However, this work did not happen overnight, and the technology has been continuously evolving since the first release of the first generation of Ryzen processors in 2017. Since then, AMD has provided premium products in categories such as budget, current principal, performance, and HEDT.
Next is a prize for a processor, many of us may be running on our own system. AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor won the 2020 "Best Game Product" award. The
Ryzen 5 3600 quickly became the CPU for those who wish to build gaming systems without breaking the bank. The impressive performance level, overclocking capability and low cost make it a highly sought after CPU. We were not surprised to see this award.
For those who want to push the processor to the limit, Ryzen 3 3300X won this year's "Best Overclocking" CPU award. The basic clock speed of this 4-core 8-thread processor is 3.8 GHz, and the maximum boost clock listed can reach up to 4.3 GHz.
It didn't take long for an article to appear, explaining how good the overclocking performance of this CPU is. Some overclockers even managed to overclock all four cores of this chip to 4.5 GHz.
AMD not only performed well in the processor this year, but also won the "Best Gaming Laptop" award. ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is a gaming laptop equipped with Ryzen 4000 mobile series processors. According to the specifications, this could be Ryzen 7 4800HS or Ryzen 9 4900HS. The
laptop is also equipped with 32GB of 3200MHz DDR4 memory, NVME M.2 with up to 1TB storage options, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU with 6GB GDDR6 VRAM.
Overall, this has been an impressive year for AMD, and there does not seem to be any sign of slowing down. What do you think of these awards? Do you think AMD will be so successful next year? Let us know in the comments section below.
